New Adventures of Bernd Stromberg: The Film Returns
Eleven years after the first film, the new adventures of Bernd Stromberg return to theaters. The film “Stromberg – The New Movie” will also be streamed on Amazon Prime and ProSieben. In a statement from Brainpool, it says: “Daddy is coming back.”
The Return of Familiar Characters
In addition to Christoph Maria Herbst as Stromberg, Björn Madel (Ernie), Oliver Wnuk (Ulf), Milena Dreissig (Jennifer), and Diana Staehly (Tanja) have confirmed their participation in the sequel. Ralph Husmann, the creator of the series, will write the screenplay. Husmann says, “What Oasis can do, Stromberg has already mastered: reunions with difficult people. Just without music.”
The Boss as a “Top-Tier Toxic Boss”
Stromberg remains the “top-tier toxic boss.” He embodies all the negative qualities of managers under whom many suffer. He is empathetic, uninterested in his employees, and hates unions. Yet, he remains the boss. His demotivating phrases, like “Office is war,” are well-known.
Stromberg’s Work Life: A New Perspective on Old Topics
When Stromberg last appeared before his employees in 2012, the work environment was different. Topics like COVID-19, remote work, or gender debates hadn’t been discussed yet. It will be interesting to see how Stromberg navigates the modern work world.
